Articles Plus
In the articles plus tutorial, Lorraine Wochna describes how easy it can be to find a text using a few simple steps. The search engine allows you to find books or articles immediately, and even lets you download the pdf of the article. If it is not a pdf, the articles plus search engine will allow you to find where to locate a scholarly article in the Ohio University database. The articles plus search engine is a great way to locate scholarly texts quickly.
How to Find a Book
In this tutorial, Chad Boeninger explains how to properly find a book in the Alden Library. Chad describes how to type what you're looking for into the search bar, and to use key words when trying to find a specific book. The search will show you if the book is available, where it is located, the call number, or you can even send it to your phone for a more convenient application. Chad does a great job on guiding the student through, step-by-step to find the book you're looking for, and even books similar.
OhioLink
Chad Boeninger once again demonstrates the ease requesting a book through Ohio Link. If the book is not available because it is being used, or Alden Library does not own the book, a student can request the book from another school, (located in Ohio), that may have the book. Chad mentions that a student can acquire the desired text in only three business days! He shows how to navigate the Ohio Link site and to request the book in an very simple way.
